Mother-Daughter Homemaking meeting. Kathy came with me to Central Stake Building on Gwen Street. We picked up Irene to go with us. Went visiting teaching.

Kathy and Roger in dance festival. We took Kathy's 2 youngest children and Mrs. Agnes Osbourne. Kathy found us at mini dome and took Gregory. Other 3 stayed with us.

Kathy and Greg came today. She returned my dress and black skirt and white blouse and suitcase and rust clothes bag. Hi raked the garden and watered the strawberries and lawn. Hi and I went to Payless and got some things on sale. I washed 3 batches of clothes. I cooked some rhubarb. I finished calling the ladies for DUP Brigham Young dinner and made all assignments.

I gave a pair of butterflies to Shirley Begay next door. I called Dr. Chandler and Pat Maughan all the visiting that was done for April. Dorothy Pehrson called me and we figured out a menu for May 9th Brigham Young dinner for DUP.

Hi had the garden tilled by Mr. Hathaway. It cost us $14.00. I had my hair colored and set today. It cost $20.00. I called several people to see if they had their visiting teaching done. We bought some groceries. Kathy and Roger got back from San Diego last night. She came and got her key today.

I woke up around 9:00 this morning and showered and got ready. I worked for about 45 minutes. Nathanael woke up around 10:30 and ran 3 miles. At 12:30 we went to Goodwill to get some books to read for our trip. We went to Walmart to buy Aqua Socks for me and some vitamins and some snacks for our trip. I went to Talitha's salon at 2:45 to get my hair cut and to go tanning. Nathanael dropped me off and went to Jordan MacDonald's. He came and got me at 4:00 PM. Jacquelyn bought Pizza Hut pizza for dinner and we ate around 5:30 or 6:00. Doranda and her family came up from Bremerton and Malachi and Layne and Bruce came over and Talitha came over at 7:00. We played some games and watched the end of the Jazz game on my computer. We are getting ready to go on our trip tomorrow, so I think I am just going to post grandma's entries now.

I woke up around 9:00 this morning and showered and got ready. I worked for about 45 minutes. Nathanael woke up around 10:30 and ran 3 miles. Monday, April 29, 1985
I gave Marcine a pair of butterflies. Hi and I got a little nervous with the children. Marcine and Clarence had Kathy and Roger's children last night. They took Blake and Karlee to school this morning and brought Telena and Gregory to us. We fixed them lunch and took Telena to school at 12:00 noon. At 2:30 we picked up the three children from school. Gregory went to sleep in car. Marcine and Clarence came and got the 4 children about 5:30 or 6:00 PM.

I woke up around 8:30 this morning and worked for about an hour and a half or so. We packed and cleaned and got everything ready to go. We left our apartment at 12:45 PM and drove to Portland and went to Voodoo Donuts. They were really good! Then we drove up to Puyallup and got to Puyallup at 5:00 PM. Nathanael's mom Jacquelyn had made dinner and we ate around 5:30. Nathanael and Isaac and Caleb played basketball. Nathanael left at 6:45 to go to Red Robin with some friends. I stayed and played Pass the Pigs with Jacquelyn and Isaac and Caleb and watched some TV.

Woke up at 8:30 this morning. Worked until about 3:00 this afternoon. Nathanael got up around 11:00 AM and went and played basketball and ran some errands. We cleaned and did a lot of laundry. We started packing for our trip. We are leaving tomorrow afternoon to go to Puyallup. We are watching the Jazz game now and then have to finish packing what we can tonight.

Virgina Henderson's sons wedding in Boise. We did not get to go. We still had Kathy and Roger's children. They packed their things and I got the clothes clean. Clarence came for them in the late afternoon.

I worked this morning. Nathanael slept in until about 10:45 AM. My back still hurts a lot today and I had a headache. I took a nap at 1:00 PM. Nathanael ran some errands today. I made Chicken Piccata for dinner. We ate around 5:15 PM. At 5:30 PM we went and got boxes from our friends friend and got back around 6:15. At 7:00 we went to the Walters to help them pack up their truck. We were there until about 8:30 or 8:45. Kera came and got me and we went to Applebee's for a late night snack. I came home and took a hot bath to try and help my back.

I had a fever and chills. Hi took all three children at 8:30 - 2 to school and Telena to Brisco's. Gregory cried this morning when they left. He finally stopped crying and was good all day. One day Blake mowed Davies and our lawns. Blake washed dishes one night and Karlee did dishes one night.

I got medicine today for bladder infection. Hi took Blake and Karlee to school at 8:30 AM. We made breakfast before they left. Telena and Gregory stayed with me. I fixed a lunch for Telena to take to Briscoe's and Hi took her out by 11:00 AM and left her there. Someone picked her up and took her to school. Hi got Connie and Heidi and took them to see Dr. Klein and waited and took Heidi back to school and Connie home. I fixed lunch. Hi ate and then went to school and picked up the children of Kathy's. I didn't work at Genealogy Library today. Greg got out of bed in the night.

We went to church from 9:30 to 12:30. It was our last Sunday at the Brush Hills Ward in West Salem. After church, I had leftover pizza for lunch and was on the computer. Nathanael watched basketball and took a little nap. Just after 2:00 PM we took Jackson to the dog park in Keizer. We were there until about 3:30 PM. When we got home, I took a nap for about an hour and Nathanael watched basketball and took another little nap. I fixed dinner, chicken, baked potatoes, pasta salad and carrots. We ate at 6:00 PM. After dinner I packed up some more boxes and we watched the Jazz game against the Denver Nuggets. The Jazz won again!

Kathy and Roger went to Salt Lake tonight and will fly to San Diego tomorrow morning. I visited Verda Wilson today. I got up several times in the night with Telena.

I woke up around 9:00 AM and made french toast for breakfast. Nathanael went running and I exercised at home. At 1:00 PM we went to a birthday party for Sophie Walters, daughter of our friends Jennifer and Eric. They are moving to Rexburg this week, so it was also kind of a goodbye party for them. After the party we went to Best Buy and Sears to look at TV's and camcorders. We got home around 4:00 and Nathanael took a nap and I packed some more boxes. We decided we were going to buy a Flip camcorder, so we called a bunch of places and then went to Walmart and then Target where we bought the Flip. We got Papa John's pizza for dinner and watched Did You Hear About The Morgans? after dinner.

I woke up at 8:30 this morning because my phone rang. It was the dermatologist FINALLY calling with my biopsy results! I have granuloma annulare , which is what the doctor thought. He gave me a prescription for a steroid topical ointment that should clear it up. Yay! I hope it works, especially because the prescription was $92.00. I have seen 3 doctors before the dermatologist, all who said it was something else. My Ob/Gyn thought it was Lyme Disease and two other general practictioners thought it was ringworm. They were wrong. I knew they were wrong. Anyway, I am glad to finally get it taken care of! So...after I talked to the dermatologist, I worked for an hour. Nathanael and I went to Bush Park and went jogging. He went further than me, but it was nice to exercise together. When we got back, Nathanael got ready and went golfing. I worked and got ready. Nathanael got back at 3:30 PM and I left and went to Bed, Bed & Beyond to get a gift card for Skyler May's wedding. When I got back arond 5:00 PM Nathanael made dinner for us and I packed some more boxes. We watched the Jazz play the Denver Nuggets on TV. The Jazz won!

I folded some laundry, packed a few more boxes, had leftover pizza. Brandon left around 7:45 PM. Nathanael and I watched Bones.

I was on the phone with Megan Carter trying to decide on what excursions to do for our cruise! I went to Wal-Mart and made chicken quesadillas for dinner. I talked to Megan some more trying to get stuff figured out for our cruise. I watched Glee and American Idol.

Nathanael came home for about 40 minutes and left around 1:00 PM to go back and study for his next final. I worked for a couple more hours. At 4:00 I went to Kinko's to get Nathanael's graduation announcements printed. I went to Fred Meyer after to get my friend Stephanie a birthday present. I got home around 5:45 PM. I had dinner, leftovers from yesterday. At 7:30 Kera and I went to Stephanie's to give her the present and a card. Kera came over after and helped me pack a few boxes. Nathanael will probably be home between midnight and 1:00 AM.

Nathanael went to school about 10:30 AM. I exercised for about 35 minutes. I went to JC Penney to return something then I went to Woodburn to the outlets and then I went to Lancaster Mall. I was looking for some items for our cruise. I stopped at Willamette on my way home to see Nathanael for a few minutes. I got home around 5:00 PM. I did some laundry and had dinner. I watched the movie Amelia (about Amelia Earhart). It was okay. Nathanael will be home sometime between 12:00 and 1:00 AM.

My visiting teachers (Shireen Taylor and Valerie Hopkins and her two kids) came at 1:00 until about 1:45 pm. The kids really liked playing with Jackson. I worked for awhile longer. I went to the post office. At 6:30 I went with Kera to Red Robin for dinner. I got home at 8:30 PM. I watched the movie The Time Travelers Wife. I liked it. Nathanael will be home around midnight.

We picked up our amended Income Tax from H & R Block. I paid them $20.00 for preparing them. Steve Long and Boyd Johnson came to our house and we have to pay the taxes. Steve Long gave us a check for $20.00 to reimburse us. We made checks out and took the taxes to the post office.

I woke up at 8:45 this morning and worked from 9:00 to 11:30 AM. I exercised for an hour. I called Delta to fix our flight reservations and was on the phone a long time with them. I worked from 1:30 to 3:30 PM. I ran some errands and went to Walgreens and Office Depot and Walmart. I made chicken Alfredo for dinner and organized some pictures and did some laundry and watched some TV. I went and got Nathanael from school just after 11:00 PM because it was raining really hard.

Hi and I took letter about IRA down to H & R Block to show Cathy Vaughn. She's to finish the amended taxes and we will pick them up Monday April 15th. Hi and I went to the High Priests banquet and program at the Central Stake House on Oakwood.

I woke up at 8:30. Worked from 9:00 to 11:00, work was slow. I exercised (yay!) for about 50 minutes. I showered and got ready and lunch and worked from about 1:00 to 4:00 PM. I cleaned a little and went to the Salem Center mall from about 5:30 to 7:30 PM. I watched TV in the evening. Nathanael got home around 10:30 PM.

Went to church from 9:30 AM to 12:20 PM. We had brunch at 1:00 PM; I made waffles and we had ice cream and fruit on them because I felt bad that Nathanael didn't have them last week for Conference. Nathanael went to school at 1:45 PM and should be back around 10:00 PM. I did the dishes and some laundry and organized my closet and unpacked my suitcase from SLC. At 7:00 PM I played Mario Kart online with some friends. I watched some TV.

Yesterday (Friday, April 9th) I worked and went grocery shopping at Walmart.
Today I woke up at 8:30 and we went to Riverfront Park at 9:45 AM to participate in the MS Walk For The Cure 2010. We walked for about 3 miles and got back around noon. Nathanael went to school to study and I went to Washington Square to go shopping. I got back around 4:30 PM. I had leftover enchiladas for dinner and watched TV. It is 10:00 PM and Nathanael is not home yet. He should be home within the hour. Hopefully.

I worked for a couple hours in the morning. I showered and got ready and I went to Silver Falls Dermatology for a follow up appointment at 1:30 pm. The results of my biopsy hadn't come back yet, so I just got my stitches out and went on my way. I should hear back by Monday with the results. I came back home and worked some more. I went to Kera and Billy's for dinner at 5:30. I came back at 6:30 and did the dishes. Kera came over at 7:15 and we made cards until about 9:15 pm. Jackson and I then went and picked up Nathanael from school. We watched Bones then I went to bed.

My mom and dad and sister all had to go back to school/work today. I woke up at 8:30 and worked from 8:45 til 10:15 AM. I showered and got ready and drove to Lehi and picked up Lisa and Audrey. We went to Provo to Goldsmith Jewelers to get my wedding ring cleaned and re-dipped. Afterward, we went to lunch at Los Hermanos. I took Lisa and Audrey back to their house in Lehi and got back to my parents just after 3:00 PM. I took Megan to work. I did some laundry and packed. My mom and dad took me to the airport at 4:45. We got there about 5:20. My plane left at 6:50 and I got to Portland at 7:35 PM. Nathanael and Jackson picked me up at 8:20 PM and we got home at 9:30 PM. We had dinner and watched Bones then went to bed.

I got out of bed around 9:00 this morning. I did not sleep well at all last night and woke up about every 2 hours. Aaron left this morning around 10:15 to go back to Logan. I worked in the basement bathroom until my mom and dad got home from the doctor with Megan around 11:30 AM. We painted the remaining walls in the basement and all of the basement doors and finishing cleaning everything. It looks really good! We are about to go have some Root Beer Floats and RELAX the rest of the evening. Yay!

I washed and set hair. Hi and I, Liz and Mary-Anne went to JC Penneys. I sat in car with Mary-Anne. We all went to Fred Meyers store. Liz bought some things for Mary-Anne. Liz had meeting about new songs at Hilton. We helped take care of Mary-Anne.

Easter Sunday
Woke up around 8:30 AM and got ready. Watched conference from 10:00 to 12:00. We had waffles and ice cream and fruit around 1:00 PM. Watched conference from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. We cleaned a little bit more in the basement. During conference my mom went through a lot of boxes that were in the basement hallway. We got dinner ready, ham, dutch over cheesy potatoes, salad, rolls, and ate around 7:00 PM. Just hung out the rest of the evening. It was a good day. Lots of talks in conference about the Savior and the resurrection.

Hi and I and Liz and Mary-Anne went to Salt Lake to Beneficial Life Insurance to get the one Insurance Policy on Margaret straightened out. Chuck Abey talked to us and called Steve Lang in Pocatello. IRA doesn't meet requirements. We'll have to pay tax on IRA. Steve Lang to help us and maybe Ross.

We also went to The District and I bought a shirt at Shade and at Down East Basics. We went to Claire's and Megan got some things. Mary-Anne was sealed to Liz and Craig. 40 people were in the sealing room besides the officiator; Brother Hinckley. Mary-Anne smiled at everyone. Liz, Kathy and Peggy, myself and many more shed tears. Brother Hinckley asked me (Margaret) to hold the baby on the alter, but I can't kneel so Grandma Lafaun Johnson held Mary-Anne. Pictures and video tapes were made on temple grounds of Liz and Craig, Mary-Anne, Grandma and Grandpa Johnson, Grandma and Grandpa Talbot and Mike Taylor. Mel had to have laser treatments on eyes so they didn't go to Liz's after for a nice luncheon.

What a special day! I never realized that I was sealed to my parents on April Fool's Day! I will always remember, now. I also saw home video of this and it is so special. I love seeing everyone on the video. It's just so neat. I am so grateful for my parents and I am so grateful to be sealed to them for time and all eternity. What a blessing!
Today I woke up around 8:30 AM. I left at 11:00 AM for an appointment at the new Riverton Hospital at Western Obstetrician and Gynecological Clinic for my annual exam with Dr. Alisa Carlton. She was nice and my appointment was fine. I got back around 12:30 PM and had lunch with my mom and dad. My mom and I went to a paint store to get paint for the basement and went to a fabric store. We came back and my dad and I painted the basement bedroom. We worked some more in the basement but still have a LOT to do in the next few days!

Mary-Anne was blessed at 1:00 PM by Craig. 10 men were in the circle. We attended all the meetings at Liz's ward. Then went to Liz's where she had a luncheon for a lot of people; some brought food. This was a very special day.

I love the above post from my grandma. I actually watched the home video of the luncheon after church and it was so neat to see my grandma and to know she was there and that this day was special to her. I'm so glad we have it on video and I'm so glad that grandma kept record of it.
Today was a busy day. I went shopping at 10:30 AM with Megan and Alivia Carter. We went to South Towne Mall. At 1:00 PM we went to Chili's and met Ashley Freestone and her two kids, David and Zoey, there for lunch. We left there about 2:15 PM and I came home and started cleaning the basement kitchen. At about 4:45 PM my dad came home and took my to The District to JC Penney where I bought a black dress for my cruise and my dad bought me an Easter dress. :) It was fun to go shopping with my dad. He also got some new work shoes and I got some flip flops for Nathanael. After we shopped, we came home and cleaned in the basement some more. Lisa and Audrey Estrom came over for a little bit and visited around 9:00 PM.
