Getting to know Grandma Talbot...
I never really knew my maternal grandmother very well. She passed away when I was 14, but she was very sick with Dementia for many, many years before that. One of the last things I ever remember her saying to me is that she loved me. What I do know about her is that she loved her family with all her heart. She was an extremely hard worker. She loved the Lord. Last year at the Talbot family reunion, my aunts were going through some of my grandparents old things when they came across my grandma's old day planners, in which she wrote out every thing she did for the day; a mini journal. So I am going to blog about her life in 1985 and try, when I can, to do something that she did that day. In the process, hopefully I will get to know her a little better, and maybe even get to know myself a little more.

Facts
Margaret Alice Olive Talbot was born in Rexburg, Idaho on August 22, 1920 to John Thomas Olive, Jr. "Tom" and Rachel Widdison Olive. She was the 6th of 8 children. She married Hiram Barton Talbot on May 31st, 1940 in the Salt Lake Temple in Salt Lake City, Utah. She has 5 children: Robert, Peggy, Ralph, Kathy and Liz. She passed away at home in Pocatello, Idaho on January 5, 1999.

Mom had both knees replaced in December of 1983, I think. She had one replaced on December 7th and the other on December 14th. I don't know if she was still doing therapy for her knees one year later, in 1985 or if she was doing therapy for something else.
