Either DUP at June Martineau and/or worked at Genealogy Library. I got my therapy done and got ready to help Hi with the linoleum in cupboards. At 1:30 Irene came and took me to the JuneMartineau to DUP. At 3 PM we went to Genealogy Library and helped people there until 5 PM. Hi and I ate dinner then watched the end of the show "The Thorn Birds."

  1. DUP is the Daughters of the Pioneers. It is an organization or club of ladies whose ancestors were actual Mormon Pioneers who crossed the plains to Utah between 1847 and 1869, the coming of the railroad. There are local chapters or groups of women who meet about once a month and learn or share stories about their ancestors.

The sister whose house they went to was June Martineau. She lived on our street about a block north of us. She was the ward organist for as long as I can remember. Mother even took a few piano lessons from sister Martineau after she retired from working.

  2. Oh! I was so confused... I had no idea what DUP was. And I couldn't read the Martineau word...now I know. Thanks!
